Detailed Course Overview

This three-day course defines the supervisor and examines some of the essential skills that a supervisor must possess.

A  significant part of a supervisor’s job is dealing with the legal issues  that arise. Just as a supervisor’s value is determined by the output of  those under his/her command, the supervisor’s liability also is  incurred through the actions of his/her subordinates. Therefore it is  important to communicate effectively, understand the responsibilities  and recognize the signs that indicate potential trouble. It is equally  important to act in a timely manner to address issues in their earliest  stages to limit the exposure to liability.

A supervisor’s job consists of many tasks that encompass the entire area  of his/her responsibility. It is important to have a clear  understanding of that area of responsibility and all of its associated  task.
